Ballot!!

Ooooooohh! I received my absentee ballot in the mail today! Yay! Now I can vote for...well, whoever the hell I want! What do people think about the Nader/Gonzalez ticket? Cuz I was thinking of spicing it up a bit.

Just kidding.

...Wow, this is taking longer than I thought it would. I guess that's the problem when you wait until the last minute to educate yourself. State auditor? Who cares? Insurance commissioner? What does that office even do?

...Hm, upon further research, apparently insurance commissioner does exactly the sort of thing I'm studying in school at the moment. Yay, public health!

  1. Pssst...vote for Obama. All that other stuff doesn't matter. Public health? Who cares?

  2. Ms. Petey is right. Which insurance commisioner do you endorse, Kusems??

  3. I take back my insistence that you should watch the debates. The debate last night just made me want to punch McCain in the nose. Don't watch it. But, do get that ballot in as soon as possible. Otherwise, I may have to leave the country. I couldn't take 4 years of him.

  4. Jax, why did you want to punch McCain? The smirking, the innuendos that Obama has terrorist friends, the smart-ass snarkiness? Have no worries - Obama is our next president. Kusems -- Jax is probably right that you can skip this debate, but if you just want to watch a cool, unflappable Obama respond to McCain, it's worth it!

  5. Hubby, I am leaving you for Obama. I'm in love.

Seriously, though, if you do watch the debate, watch the CNN version. They have a little screen at the bottom where an audience tracks how they're feeling about the candidates. Whenever Obama started talking, the ladies went up significantly. The men were a bit more responsive to McCain. It's like a little video game at the bottom of your screen!

  6. The last debate was my favorite because it was hysterical! Split screen is the best thing to ever happen to debates and watching McCain's body language kept me entertained for the whole 90 minutes. This picture pretty much sums up the whole event.

  7. John's right. Obama was incredibly calm and collected throughout the debate. That was impressive. I have no idea how he resisted what must have been an overwhelming desire to reach across the table and smack McCain upside the head, especially when he wouldn't recant the statements by his supporters to kill Obama.
